Job Summary

The Design Engineer - Piping is responsible for piping system design, layout development, stress analysis coordination, and preparation of detailed engineering drawings for mechanical construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

piping layouts, GA drawings, isometrics, spool drawings

, and fabrication drawings. Develop

piping design calculations

, material specifications, and line lists. Review

P&IDs, equipment layouts

, and vendor drawings. Ensure compliance with relevant

codes & standards

(ASME, ANSI, API, ISO). Support

stress analysis

and resolve stress-related design issues. Assist procurement team by providing

BOQs, MTOs

, and technical clarifications. Provide design support during

fabrication, erection, and commissioning

stages. Conduct

design reviews

and incorporate client/consultant comments. Ensure drawings are issued as per

document control procedures

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

piping design principles and construction practices

Proficiency in

AutoCAD 2d, SP3D / PDMS / E3D

(preferred) Familiarity with

piping materials, fittings, valves

, and supports Understanding of

fabrication & site erection constraints

Ability to read and interpret

P&IDs and technical documents

Good coordination and communication skills

Educational Qualification

BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

2-5 years

of relevant experience in piping design for mechanical construction projects

Preferred Industry Experience

Oil & Gas Power Plants Refineries Chemical / Fertilizer Plants Industrial Piping & Fabrication

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
