The AutoCAD Draftsman / Design Engineer is responsible for preparing detailed HVAC/MEP drawings and basic system designs as per project requirements, standards, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare HVAC/MEP drawings using AutoCAD (GA layouts, ducting, piping, equipment layouts).
Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.
Assist in basic HVAC system design (heat load calculations, equipment sizing).
Coordinate with project engineers, architects, and consultants for design inputs.
Modify drawings based on site conditions and client comments.
Ensure drawings comply with standards, codes, and BOQ.
Maintain drawing records and revisions.
Support material take-off and basic quantity estimation.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) for HVAC/MEP.
Understanding of HVAC systems (VRF, Chillers, AHU, FCU, ducting & piping).
Basic knowledge of MEP coordination and building services.
Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
Attention to detail and good drafting standards.
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
2-3 years experience in HVAC / MEP drafting or design role.
