Job Title: Substation, Solar Plant & BESS Design Engineer

Location: Vadodara

Reports To: Management / Director

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer/Manager to lead the design and integration of electrical substations, solar power plants, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for renewable energy projects. The role involves technical leadership, project coordination, regulatory compliance, and team management to deliver optimized and safe designs on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead design and engineering of HV substations (AIS/GIS), including protection, control, earthing, and auxiliary systems.

Design and integrate large-scale solar PV plants, including PV arrays, inverters, BOS, and grid interconnection.

Lead BESS design and integration, including battery selection, sizing, power electronics, BMS, and performance analysis.

Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, voltage regulation).

Manage design schedules, resources, budgets, and coordination with internal teams, consultants, and vendors.

Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE/ANSI standards, grid codes, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare, review, and approve technical documents, drawings, and design reports.

Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).

7-10 years experience in substation, solar PV, and/or BESS design.

Strong knowledge of power systems, grid integration, and renewable technologies.

Experience with tools such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD, PVSyst, AutoCAD.

Proven leadership and project management experience.

PE and PMP certifications preferred.

Working Conditions:

May require travel to project sites.
