Job Profile: Design Engineer

Qualification : ITI, Diploma, Degree - MechanicalSkills : Thorough knowledge of Solidworks & AutoCAD in sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining

Experience : 1-3 years of experience of machine design/(Freshers with relevant knowledge may also apply)

Location : Western Ahmedabad

Salary : 15k/month

Job Summary:

The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing designs for laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication. The role involves understanding customer requirements, preparing production-ready drawings, and ensuring efficient material utilization and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and modify

2D and 3D CAD designs

for laser cutting and sheet metal components. Prepare

nesting layouts

for CNC laser cutting machines to ensure material optimization. Interpret and work from

engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications

. Collaborate with the

production and sales teams

to understand design requirements. Ensure that all designs meet

quality, dimensional accuracy, and manufacturing standards

. Maintain and update

design documentation

and

BOMs (Bill of Materials)

. Support

new product development (NPD)

and

prototyping

activities. Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during production.

Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in

Mechanical Engineering, ITI

or related field. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software

. Knowledge of

sheet metal design

,

laser cutting processes

, and

fabrication techniques

. Understanding of

GD&T

, tolerances, and

manufacturing drawings

. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
