Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Calculate load distribution and CG for the required Fire truck for ease of manufacturing. Check the detailed BOM prepared by the team member for individual projects, and before sending it for approval to the head. Select PTO based on Engine RPM and Pump RPM for a particular project. Measure chassis length with mounted chassis cross member for propeller shaft, PTO, and pump mounting drawings Torque and RPM calculation based on the Truck to select the propeller shaft with a suitable length, flanges, RPM and torque. Send all the details of the Propeller shaft to the procurement department for further processing. After receiving the propeller shaft drawings from the vendor, verify and confirm with the approved step and sign. Revert to the procurement team for the final quotation and manufacturing purposes. Prepare the fire truck operation manual for the client and release it upon the Head's approval. Name Plate, Schematic diagram of water-foam and DCP for the particular project. Continuously involved in new product development and R&D activities aimed at Minimising production time and improving cost-effectiveness. Ensure all required documents are provided to the sales team for submission of the Fire Truck tender. Assist and guide team members with their queries. Resolve any production team queries related to ongoing projects. Check all the drawings and data sheets before sending them to the head for approval. Measurable responsibilities Time Management: Managing project timelines and deadlines effectively. (Plan Vs Actual) Research to understand trends, user needs, and market preferences. (new development) Design data backup for standard items atleast 5 instantceof standardisation data Reduction in time for drawing by implementing new ideas (software skills) Time to make GA should not be more than 3 days considering feed back received from Sales Pipe line standard disation to make drawing in advance model wise BOM standardisation , should make atleast 3 nos of fire truck to be standard for BOM and Drawing Cost reduction through Design and process minimum 4 instance
