Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Basic Engineering:Prepare the Design Basis Report (DBR) for electrical systems.Develop Key Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for electrical distribution.Perform sizing calculations for equipment and cables.Draft Functional Specifications for electrical systems and equipment.Conduct electrical system calculations including load flow, short circuit, and voltage drop analysis.Prepare and evaluate Bid Evaluation Reports for vendor selection.

Proposal Engineering:Assist in the preparation of proposal documents, including scope of work, technical specifications, and cost estimation.Provide technical inputs for tendering processes and feasibility studies.Coordinate with various stakeholders during the proposal phase for seamless project execution.

Detailed Electrical Engineering & Vendor Management:Conduct detailed electrical engineering for Oil & Gas and refinery projects.Develop and review technical specifications and data sheets for equipment such as LT/HT cables, LT/HT motors, Local Control Stations (LCS), HT/LT switchgear panels, UPS, ACDB, battery systems, DCDB, and lighting/power distribution boards.Manage vendor relationships, including vendor drawing reviews, equipment procurement, and quality assurance during manufacturing and testing.

Equipment Specification & Data Sheets:Prepare specifications and data sheets for:LT/HT CablesLT/HT MotorsLocal Control Stations (LCS)HT/LT Switchgear PanelsUPS & ACDB SystemsLighting & Power Distribution BoardsBattery Systems & DCDBEnsure all equipment complies with project and international standards.Compliance with International Standards:Ensure design and engineering work complies with relevant international standards such as:IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission)IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)OISD (Oil Industry Safety Directorate)NFPA (National Fire Protection Association)

Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge in Basic & Detailed Electrical Engineering for the Oil & Gas industry.Proficient in equipment sizing calculations and preparing design documents.Experience in vendor management and reviewing technical specifications.Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, OISD, NFPA) and industry best practices.Ability to work on SLDs, DBRs, and Functional Specifications independently.Excellent communication and coordination skills for interfacing with multiple stakeholders.Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to electrical design.

Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.3-7 years of experience in electrical design engineering within the Oil & Gas/refineries sector.Hands-on experience in preparing electrical design basis reports, bid evaluations, and equipment data sheets.Knowledge of electrical system calculations and experience in proposal engineering.Exposure to Electrical system studies and relevant simulation software is an advantage.

Pay: ₹135,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
