Job Summary:

The

Design Engineer (Electrical)

is responsible for designing, detailing, and integrating electrical systems required for HVAC and cleanroom facilities in compliance with regulatory and safety standards. This role includes preparation of electrical layouts, equipment sizing, power distribution, and coordination with HVAC and utility systems. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles as applied to pharmaceutical and controlled environment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Prepare electrical system design layouts for HVAC & Cleanroom projects, including lighting, power distribution, earthing, and control wiring.

2) Ensure designs are compliant with applicable standards such as IS, IEC, and NFPA, and client-specific requirements.

3) Work closely with HVAC design, mechanical, and project teams to integrate electrical designs into overall project planning.

4) Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, load calculations, and panel design specifications.

5) Select appropriate electrical components and equipment as per the project and budget requirements.

6) Prepare BOQs and technical specifications for procurement and tendering.

7) Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for technical clarifications and equipment selection.

8) Provide design support during project execution, installation, and commissioning stages.

9) Review shop drawings, and as-built drawings, and ensure accurate documentation.

10) Maintain and update design records, reports, and drawings for all projects.

Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

:

2 to 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in HVAC & cleanroom or pharma/industrial projects.

Technical Skills

:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design tools. Understanding of electrical codes and standards (IS, IEC, NBC, NEC). Knowledge of HVAC electrical load requirements and cleanroom compliance standards. Ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings and documentation.

Soft Skills

:

Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Time management and multitasking capabilities under project timelines.

Note :- Candidate must have experience into HVAC Cleanroom in Pharmaceutical sector/ industry.
