This role involves designing, analyzing, and developing high-performance electromagnetic brakes and clutches for industrial and specialized mechanical applications. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of hands-on experience with electromagnetic clutch and brake systems, including knowledge of their operation, structural elements, and application in various environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electromagnetic brakes and clutches, focusing on functionality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Prepare calculations and specifications for torque, inertia, response time, and integration with electronic control systems.
Create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings for custom and standard systems.
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams for prototyping, testing, and product certification.
Troubleshoot design and performance issues and propose engineering solutions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, iterations, and test results.
Ensure adherence to relevant standards and customer specifications throughout the design process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3-5 years' engineering experience, specifically with electromagnetic brakes and clutches.
Proficiency in CAD programs (e.g., SOLIDWORKS), and magnetic simulation tools.
Strong understanding of the theory and practical aspects of electromagnetic devices: coil design, torque calculations, air gap management, voltage systems, and response time.
Experience with prototyping, product testing, and quality inspection.
Good collaboration and communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience in design for manufacturing and industrial automation.
Exposure to EMS brake/clutch integration with electronic control systems.
