Position Overview:

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented

Design Engineer

with

1-2 years of experience

in

furniture design and manufacturing

. The incumbent will be responsible for developing

accurate 2D and 3D product designs

, supporting

prototype development

, and ensuring

technical feasibility for large-scale production

. The role demands proficiency in

SolidWorks

and

AutoCAD

, coupled with a thorough understanding of

materials, joinery, and manufacturing processes

. The position requires close coordination with design, production, and development teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed

3D models

and

2D technical drawings

for custom and modular furniture products. Collaborate with

design, production, and development teams

to convert design concepts into manufacturable solutions. Prepare and maintain

Bills of Materials (BOMs)

with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and specifications. Support

prototype development

and provide technical guidance during the production phase. Ensure designs comply with

manufacturing standards, quality benchmarks, and safety requirements

. Optimize designs for

cost efficiency

,

material utilization

, and

ease of assembly

. Conduct

design reviews

, identify potential issues, and propose corrective solutions. Maintain comprehensive

documentation

, including revision histories and design records. Coordinate with

vendors and suppliers

to validate material availability and technical compatibility.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree

in

Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline

.

1-2 years of professional experience

in

furniture design and manufacturing

. Proficiency in

SolidWorks

and

AutoCAD

is mandatory. Working knowledge of

MS Office tools

(Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong understanding of

materials

such as wood, metal, glass, upholstery, and hardware fittings. Familiarity with

manufacturing processes

, including

CNC machining, edge banding, veneering, metal fabrication, and powder coating

. Ability to interpret and prepare

technical drawings, assembly details, and fabrication layouts

. High level of

accuracy, attention to detail, and time management

.
