We have an urgent opportunity for

Design & Development Engineer - Deputy Manager/ Manager (Valves/ Pumps/ Casting Industry) position

for a Leading IT Engineering & Mfg Company

Must Have:

Experience in Pattern Designing Hands on experience on Creo Software SAP Knowledge

Summary / Purpose of the role

To design and manufacture pattern equipment's and dies for Investment and Replicast Process as per projected timeline, which will add value in terms of optimum design, lowest cost of manufacturing and offer best performance to the respective users

Technical Skills Requirement

Knowledge of design software Creo 8.0 and AutoCAD



Knowledge of layout design, pattern splitting and pattern manufacturing



Capability to do cost estimation of pattern manufacturing



Capability to plan and execute VA and VE projects



Knowledge of casting simulation software and hand on work experience of running it



Knowledge of Cast Iron and S G iron metallurgy



Hands on work experience of various casting manufacturing processes



Hands on work experience of handling the rejection control and correct the process



Working knowledge of SAP PP & MM module



Proficiency in the process of driving Root Cause

Analysis and taking CAPA

5S and Kaizens

Key Responsibilities

To prepare pattern and die design, layout drawings, 3D models and splitting of new patterns and dies



To estimate internal cost of manufacturing and provide necessary technical support to the tool manufacturers



To co-ordinate and follow up with tool makers for getting manufacture new pattern and dies as per stipulated lead times



To maintain and achieve optimum machining allowance on patterns and dies



To undertake and execute VA and VE projects related to design improvement and cost optimization



To explore new materials for patterns and dies manufacturing



To take a lead in resolving pattern related issues of foundry



To design gating and methoding required for castings in consultation with Foundry



To make updates in 3D models as per pattern manufacturing SOP



To keep the record of resource utilization (man, material, machines) and inform the same to accounts.



To make the credit notes, history card of newly made patterns and inform to accounts, pattern store and foundry



To maintain the record of new developments and credit notes- PR- Cost estimations etc.



To follow and adhere to safe working practices
