Role Overview

As a

Design Engineer - Construction Plans

, you'll be responsible for turning design concepts into detailed and compliant construction drawings. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the design of civil, mechanical, and electrical systems within commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop detailed construction drawings. Create piping layouts, HVAC ductwork, electrical system plans, and other building systems. Use CAD and BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) to produce technical designs. Ensure compliance with building codes and technical standards. Conduct occasional site visits for design validation and issue resolution. Prepare and present design proposals to internal teams and clients. Select appropriate materials with a focus on functionality and sustainability. Maintain accurate project documentation and track design revisions. Stay updated on design trends, materials, and software tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Design, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in architectural or construction design. Proficient in

AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM tools

. Strong knowledge of building codes and construction practices. Excellent design, visualization, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and presentation abilities. Organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines and deliverables. Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
