Work location -

Lalru, District Mohali (between Ambala and Chandigarh cities)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Furniture Draftsperson

with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed

2D technical drawings

and

3D models

for custom furniture projects, collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and the production team to ensure the designs are executed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

:

Prepare detailed

2D technical drawings

and

3D models

for furniture pieces, including dimensions, joinery, materials, and hardware (hinges, handles, screws, etc.). Collaborate with designers to translate creative concepts into

precise working drawings

for manufacturing. Ensure all drawings meet

industry standards

and are suitable for production, including proper detailing of materials, finishes, and fittings. Review design specifications and provide recommendations for improving the

functionality

and

manufacturability

of designs. Maintain a comprehensive

library of design files

and ensure all updates and revisions are documented. Liaise with production teams to address any technical questions or adjustments needed during the manufacturing process.

Quality check

drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

:

Minimum

3 years of experience

as a Furniture Draftsperson or in a similar role. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

,

SketchUp

,

Revit

, or other industry-standard drafting software. Strong understanding of furniture construction methods, materials, and hardware. Experience in creating detailed drawings that can be used for

manufacturing purposes

. Ability to interpret and work from sketches, concepts, and rough drafts provided by designers. Attention to detail and a

strong commitment to accuracy

in all work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with designers and production teams.

Preferred Skills

:

Experience with

3D rendering

software such as

3ds Max

,

Blender

, or similar is a plus. Familiarity with

woodworking

and

metalwork

processes is advantageous. Knowledge of industry standards for

ergonomics

, safety, and design aesthetics.
