The R&D Design & Development Engineer will be responsible for
end-to-end product development
, starting from research and concept design to
development, testing, and production readiness of the same product
. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on development skills, and the ability to convert designs into functional and manufacturable products.
Key Responsibilities1. Research & Concept Development
Study market trends, customer requirements, and competitor products
Generate new product concepts and improvement ideas for existing products
Research materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods
2. Product Design
Create detailed
2D & 3D product designs, drawings, and specifications
Ensure designs meet functional, safety, cost, and quality requirements
Make design modifications based on testing, feasibility, and feedback
3. Product Development
Develop the
same product based on the approved design
Build prototypes and coordinate prototype manufacturing
Ensure design feasibility for mass production
4. Testing & Validation
Conduct functional, performance, and durability testing
Analyze test results and implement design or development improvements
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry norms
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Sales teams
Support production trials and resolve technical issues during manufacturing
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical development (if required)
6. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain design documents, BOMs, test reports, and development records
Track development timelines and report progress to management
Maintain proper version control and R&D documentation
