Experience working in a supervisory role in the manufacturing industry must
Experience in Design & Development of machines must.
Led multi-disciplinary engineering team comprising of Mechanical, Electrical & Automation, Manufacturing
Able to deal with multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of 5S, Lean, TQM, Kaizen must
Ability to plan & assign work responsibilities to team
Organizational skills & willingness to take accountability
Computer Skills - MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Job Responsibilities & Duties
Design & Development
New product development.
Work closely with draftsmen/engineers by providing necessary guidance & approval to them during drafting activity of machines
Discuss & clarify drawing related issues with our manufacturing teams & vendors as and when needed.
Discuss requirements with customers to provide solutions as per their requirement
Travel to different places for studying machines for new product development.
Manages

Routine Responsibilities
Ensures that all functions of the design department are functioning properly and all project are completed on time.
Continuously focus on reducing cost - Selecting right material, reducing cutting allowance, reducing machining, etc
Maintaining & updating drawing records for all the machines drawings created & handed for manufacturing
Work closely with manufacturing team for any design modifications or manufacturing activity related support.
Point of contact for manufacturing team for design department.
Time to time reporting to management for work planning.
Guiding draftsmen in design activities & supervise all activities of draftsmen.
Implement 5S, TQM process improvements in machine drawing activity
Act as a change agent & continuously focus on time reduction, resource optimization to speed up the machine manufacturing activity & improve performance.
Any other relevant duty as assigned by the Management. Duties to be updated time to time depending on company's requirement.
