Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Design Coordinator

to act as the bridge between on-site construction teams, head office design teams, and external consultants. This role ensures that project designs are accurately implemented, technically feasible, and aligned with project specifications. The position is

Key Responsibilities

Design Liaison:

Serve as the main point of contact for design-related matters on-site and coordinate with head office design teams.

Technical Problem Solving:

Work with designers and consultants to resolve design queries, clashes, and technical issues.

Design Monitoring:

Oversee implementation of design on-site, ensuring it aligns with intent and specifications.

Document Control:

Manage submission, approval, and revision of design drawings and specifications.

Communication:

Facilitate design-related meetings and workshops, ensuring design changes are communicated to all stakeholders.

Quality Control:

Support quality inspections and ensure adherence to design and construction standards.

Budget & Schedule Support:

Assist in tracking design-related timelines and budgets to maintain project efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:



Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required) Master's degree in Construction/Project Management or related field (preferred)

Experience:



Prior experience in coordinating design activities within construction projects

US project experience (good to have)


Language Requirement:



Excellent spoken and written English (mandatory, US client-facing role)


Technical Skills:



Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and familiarity with design tools such as Revit, SketchUp, or BIM software Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory codes Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications

Soft Skills:



Strong organizational and project management skills Effective stakeholder and client communication Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
