Job Purpose:

To ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of engineering drawings and designs by thoroughly checking, reviewing, and validating design outputs before release for manufacturing, procurement, or client submission.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and check engineering drawings, 2D/3D models, and design documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards. Verify dimensional accuracy, tolerances, GD&T, material specifications, and drawing consistency. Ensure designs conform to project requirements, industry codes, and company standards. Identify design errors, omissions, or clashes and communicate feedback to design engineers/draftsmen. Collaborate with design engineers, draftsmen, and project teams to resolve discrepancies. Maintain records of revisions, comments, and approvals. Assist in the development and implementation of design standards and best practices. Support continuous improvement in drawing quality and design processes.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards (ASME, ISO, DIN, or equivalent). Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar). Sound understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work under deadlines with accuracy.

Qualification & Experience:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or equivalent. Minimum

3-5 years

of experience in design/drafting/checking within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Experience in

machinery, conveyor systems, heavy fabrication, or similar industry

preferred.
