Role Summary



We are seeking a

Senior Design & Application Engineer

to join our Global Proposal Engineering team. The role involves

design, customization, and application engineering of diesel generator sets

for mission-critical

data center backup power systems

. You will drive projects from the

proposal stage to execution support

, ensuring compliance with

Tier III/Tier IV uptime standards, global regulations, and client specifications

.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Engineering



Select and configure

diesel engines, alternators, control systems, and switchgear

to meet site-specific requirements. Design

cooling, ventilation, exhaust, fuel, and acoustic systems

with focus on high reliability and low environmental impact. Conduct

Noise & Vibration (NVH) analysis

and propose acoustic solutions in compliance with local norms. Perform

CFD simulations

for airflow, cooling system optimization, and thermal management. Use

ANSYS

for structural, acoustic, and performance validation of designs. Develop

2D/3D CAD designs, installation layouts, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics

. Evaluate site-specific conditions (climate, altitude, seismic, space constraints) for optimal genset application. Integrate

emission control technologies

to meet global and regional environmental standards.

2. Proposal & Documentation



Analyze

tender technical specifications

and prepare compliant technical proposals. Develop

Bill of Quantity (BoQ)

for gensets, accessories, and installation materials. Provide technical support and clarifications during tender discussions.

Key Skills & Competencies



Strong expertise in

Noise Analysis, CFD, and ANSYS-based simulation (structural/acoustic)

. Proficiency in

tender review, BoQ preparation, and technical documentation

. In-depth knowledge of

diesel engine performance, alternator selection, and genset control systems

. Hands-on experience with

AutoCAD/Creo (or equivalent)

for mechanical/electrical design. Familiarity with

Data Center MEP systems, redundancy topologies, and UPS integration

. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical / Electrical / Power Engineering

.

5-10 years' experience

in diesel generator design/application engineering within an OEM or Tier-1 environment. Proven expertise in

simulation tools (ANSYS, CFD, NVH analysis)

.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
