Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of dermatologic conditions related to the skin, hair, and nails.
Manage both acute and chronic dermatologic illnesses using evidence-based treatment protocols.
Procedures & Interventions
Perform dermatological procedures including skin biopsies, lesion excisions, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, and other minor OT procedures.
Provide cosmetic dermatology services (e.g., chemical peels, Botox, laser therapy) based on hospital policy and scope of services.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Coordinate care with other specialties including internal medicine, oncology, pediatrics, plastic surgery, and infectious diseases when needed.
Offer dermatologic input for patients referred from other departments (e.g., inpatient consults, ICU patients with skin manifestations).
Documentation & NABH Compliance
Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation in patient medical records, ensuring adherence to NABH standards and audit readiness.
Contribute to policy adherence for infection control, biomedical waste handling, consent protocols, and patient rights.
Outpatient & Inpatient Services
Provide daily outpatient services including new consultations and follow-ups.
Attend to dermatologic needs of admitted inpatients as part of the hospital's clinical care team.
Clinical Governance & Quality Initiatives
Participate in internal clinical audits, morbidity/mortality meetings, and departmental reviews.
Engage in Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and training sessions for nursing or paramedical staff.
Contribute to hospital quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in alignment with NABH requirements.
