Project Manager (Road & Highway)

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's

degree preferred.

Minimum Experience 15-17Years similar projects.

Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, design,

construction, and maintenance of highway projects within the road infrastructure sector.

Having experiences till COD.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Planning:

Irrigation engineers design irrigation systems, including canals, pipelines, pumps, and control structures, tailored to specific crop needs and site conditions.

Construction and Implementation:

They oversee the construction and installation of irrigation infrastructure, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

Water Management and Distribution:

They manage water resources, optimizing distribution to maximize crop yield while minimizing water wastage.

Maintenance and Rehabilitation:

They assess the condition of existing irrigation systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary repairs or upgrades.

Environmental Considerations:

They integrate environmental regulations and sustainability principles into irrigation system design and management.

Data Collection and Analysis:

They gather data on soil conditions, water availability, and crop water requirements to inform system design and management.

Project Management:

They manage project teams, budgets, and timelines for irrigation development and maintenance projects.

Collaboration and Communication:

They work with farmers, agricultural specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and operation of irrigation systems.

Technical Expertise:

They provide technical guidance on irrigation best practices and emerging technologies.

Training and Capacity Building:

They may be involved in training farmers and other stakeholders on proper irrigation techniques and system maintenance.

Water Resource Management:

They ensure efficient use of water resources, minimizing environmental impact and promoting sustainable irrigation practices.
