Job Role

Design and implement robust data management strategies to support testing and operational workflows. Automate data provisioning and refresh processes across multiple environments (SIT/UAT/Pre-Prod) Develop and maintain automation scripts using shell scripting, SQL, and Python to streamline repetitive tasks. Build and deploy Unix-based utilities for data insertion, monitoring, and validation across telecom systems. Expertise in dB testing Serve as a technical SME and help team with unblocking impediments Analyze telecom business and technical requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases. Design, develop, and execute test cases for APIs and web services using tools like Postman or SOAP UI. Manage test cycles and defect tracking using JIRA Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA leads to ensure test coverage and quality. Participate in test strategy discussions and contribute to continuous process improvement Perform advanced SQL queries for backend validation and data analysis. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives. Participate and represent teams in various forums like status calls, defect triages, test case and test approach walkthroughs, etc. Drive automation initiatives and optimize test processes using tools like Selenium and Jenkins Provide estimations, VROMs and communicate with stakeholders together relevant inputs Perform thorough impact analysis of defects with correct prioritization. And drive defects to conclusion.


Desired profile:



6-8 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the telecom domain. Deep understanding of BSS/OSS systems including Siebel CRM and Kennan billing. Strong proficiency in API testing, SQL, and integration testing. Hands-on experience with JIRA, Webmethods, and test automation tools. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Excellent defect management, estimation and risk identification skills Sound technical knowledge in conjunction with process adherence Exposure to automation testing, basics of automation

Desired

ISTQB Practitioner accreditation or any other equivalent certification

Essential

Any graduation/post-graduation in Computer Science/Information Technology area

Desired

Exposure to Jenkins, Selenium, and performance testing tools is a plus.
