Deputy Manager Production - Precision Engineering Components:

For our mid-sized precision engineering manufacturing company in Hyderabad, a Deputy Manager of Production is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations. The position ensures efficiency, quality, and safety while coordinating with multiple departments to meet production targets.

Roles and responsibilities:

Production management: Overseeing day-to-day manufacturing activities to meet production targets, efficiency goals, and quality standards. Team leadership: Supervising and coordinating production staff, including team leads and operators, and managing daily manpower. Process improvement: Implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (Kaizen) methodologies to optimize processes, improve productivity, and reduce waste. Quality control: Ensuring products meet strict quality standards, which may involve implementing quality control programs and conducting inspections. Problem-solving: Troubleshooting technical bottlenecks and process-related issues that arise on the shop floor. Resource management: Managing production schedules, resources, and inventory levels to maintain an adequate stock of materials. Safety and compliance: Enforcing safety standards and ensuring all operations comply with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and quality standards (e.g., ISO). Cross-functional coordination: Collaborating with other departments like Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Sub Contracts and Supply Chain Management to ensure smooth operations. Reporting and analysis: Creating and presenting production reports, analysing performance data, and identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Key skills and qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field is typically required. Experience: Most mid-level positions require a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, including proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role and we are specifically looking for self-driven go getters who can aim higher levels of achievements and who can create change on the shop floors by their dynamic relentless focus and pursuit for meeting targets and results building a culture of team work. Technical expertise: Hands-on knowledge of precision engineering processes such as CNC machining, VMCs, HMCs, Material Movement Equipment, General Purpose Conventional Machines, Tooling, Fixtures, Gauging, Programming, Grinding, Honing and quality control methods like Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Additional Exposure and capabilities to take up PPC Functions will be an added advantage. Software proficiency: Experience with CAD/CAM software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is often necessary. Leadership and communication: Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team, excellent communication for coordinating with various departments, and the ability to work well under pressure. Problem-solving: An analytical mindset with a strong aptitude for solving complex production challenges.
Salary range:

The typical salary range will vary widely at our Plant based on your experience, our company size, and our location. For our components and product lines of precision engineering, a competitive salary will be offered for the deserving and achievers who can rise upto the challenges.

Experience-based CTC: 6-12 years' experience: ₹8.0 - ?14.0 lakhs per annum.

Pay: ₹66,666.00 - ₹116,666.00 per year
