Purpose of the position

In group legal, the legal team strive to be valued as an essential business partner and to be recognized as the \xe2\x80\x9cfirst line of defense\xe2\x80\x9d when there exist any significant business risk to manage.

Key Tasks

Key task of DSV Group Legal includes:

• Ensure compliance with corporate Governance principles;
• Contract review and contract negotiation;
• Privacy and GDPR;
• Disputes and litigations;
• Power of Attorneys;
• Legal compliances

Decision Making Authority

Decision authority as delegated by Director AGC (APAC & ISC) in consultation with Senior Legal Counsel and board of DSV.

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working

• Relevant working experience in logistics and transportation industry will be an advantage;
• Understanding of DSV strategy and products will be required;
• Knowledge about documents and contracts drafting and review;
• Drafting of legal documents or replies thereto;
• Experience in handling of legal matters independently with the retainers or advocates or consultants of the company;
• Understanding of business principles and language, including fundamentals of applicable laws to the activities of the company;
• Overall understanding of legal and court processes;
• International laws experience will be an advantage;
• Willingness to occasionally travel.

• To independently handle in coordination with advocates any legal matter delegated by Senior Legal Counsel from time to time;
• To draft any legal document, replies, agreements, notices etc. as per requirement received from the team cross locations;
• To review and analyze the legal documents, notices, papers etc.;
• To take self-initiative and respond to the legal support required by teams across locations;
• To perform assigned routine and assigned task in proper and timebound manner;
• To keep himself/herself well aware about DSV Contractual Compliance Manual; Authorization Matrix; Global Marine Insurance program; Compliance reporting etc.
• To attend regular trainings imparted by Group Legal from time to time;
• To perform delegated task in proper and time bound manner;

• Demonstrating accountability, takes responsibility and prompt actions;
• Credibility;
• Ability to find appropriate legal solutions directly and/or in consultation with consultants or Senior Legal Counsel;

• Demonstrating personal excellence: Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect; upholds and promotes ethics and values; respects confidentiality; develops him/herself; stays composed;
• Fully adhere to the DSV Code of Conduct;
• High stress level (Ability to work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines);
• Authentic, approachable, open and honest.

Educational background / Work experience

• Qualified law graduate from premier university in India with minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience of working in corporate environment;
• If registered with Bar Council than registration should be in suspended mode;
• Well versed with litigation process;

Language Skills

• Fluent in English (other languages depending on the location)

Computer Literacy

• MS Office skills and good knowledge regarding IT systems
