Job Description

Key responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of hospital IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software, and systems like EHR and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Manage and supervise the IT team, including delegating tasks, providing guidance, monitoring performance, and conducting performance reviews. Assist the IT Manager in the planning, implementation, and management of IT projects to improve efficiency and meet hospital goals. Ensure the security of sensitive patient data and hospital systems and ensure all IT operations comply with relevant healthcare regulations and hospital policies. Act as a point of escalation for IT issues, helping to resolve problems and providing technical support to hospital staff. Liaise and coordinate with other hospital departments to understand their needs and ensure IT systems support their functions effectively. Assist in managing the IT budget, monitoring expenditures, and recommending cost-effective solutions. Contribute to the development of IT strategies and goals, supporting the IT Manager in aligning technology with the hospital's overall business objectives.
