To manage and execute subcontracting activities for project packages in compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and cost, quality, and schedule objectives. The role bridges coordination between internal departments, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure efficient contract administration and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Subcontract Strategy & Planning
Assist in developing subcontracting strategy aligned with project execution plan.
Identify potential subcontractors based on scope, capability, and past performance.
Support in preparing work packages and defining subcontracting scopes.
2. Tendering & Evaluation
Float enquiries, obtain quotations, and coordinate technical and commercial evaluations.
Conduct pre-bid meetings and site visits with subcontractors.
Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with vendors and subcontractors.
Prepare bid tabulations and recommend technically and commercially suitable subcontractors.
3. Subcontract Award & Documentation
Draft and issue Letter of Intent (LOI), Work Orders, and Subcontract Agreements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and client requirements.
Maintain contract documentation and ensure proper record-keeping.
4. Contract Administration
Monitor subcontractor performance against contract terms (progress, quality, HSE compliance).
Manage change orders, claims, and variations.
Coordinate billing, measurement, and certification processes.
Support resolution of contractual disputes in coordination with legal and project management teams.
5. Vendor & Relationship Management
Develop and maintain a database of approved subcontractors.
Evaluate subcontractor performance post-project.
Ensure subcontractors adhere to company ethics, safety, and sustainability policies.
6. Cost & Schedule Control
Track subcontracting budgets, commitments, and actuals.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
Ensure timely mobilization and completion of subcontracted works.

Educational Qualification:
B.E. / B.Tech

Experience:
8 to 12 years
of experience in subcontracting, contracts, or procurement within an EPC or infrastructure organization.
Experience in project-based subcontracting, vendor management, and contract administration is essential.
