Develop new parts using the APQP process and apply techno-commercial knowledge.
Support R&D and suppliers with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analysis, providing technical inputs to resolve concerns during product and process development.
Plan processes (process flow design, PFMEA, manufacturing line layout) and quality (DVP, PV, MSA, SPC, PPM, warranty sign-off, safe launch plan, inspection agreement, gauge planning) to achieve first-time right and every-time right results.
Identify required fixtures, tooling, and gauges to meet design and quality requirements.
Establish and validate tools, fixtures, and manufacturing processes. Conduct supplier audits, production trial runs, and PPAP audits to identify gaps and ensure corrective actions.
Ensure new part development meets project quality targets and milestones and approve PPAP parts that meet all design, quality, and capacity requirements.
Implement robust corrective actions for supplier quality concerns during build, validation, and warranty phases and improve supplier quality using best industry practices.
