Deputy Manager Mechanical Engineering Projects
Job Description
The role will take ownership of the delivery of capital by performing FEED, studies and detailed design, analysis and calculations Review & validations of engineering deliverables from the third party to ensure that projects are delivered safely with specification & cost The role of Mechanical engineer is a key part of the onsite project management team who will assist the Site Project manager ensuring the mechanical design is as per Johnson Matthey guidelines Work with Project consultant & Engineering team, for designing of Plant mechanical equipment and Piping requirements. Finalizing Project specification for Mechanical Equipment & Piping as per latest design standards. Monitoring & Tracking of Engineering Deliverables for the project Understanding and following Project design best practices Preparation & Review of Piping & bulks MTO (Material Take of) List & BOQ (Bill of Quantity) Preparation of Valves specification & BOQ. Preparation & Review of Equipment Manufacturing Drawings, GA Drawings defect. Preparation of Mechanical Datasheets, TEMA, preparation of RFQ, perform technical bid evaluation. Review Vendor drawings/Documents (VDR) Expediting vendors whenever required and chasing up vendors for timely submission of required documents. Regular Coordination with other disciplines wrt IDC Raise PR & monitor cost through SAP. Ensure change control. Preparation of preliminary plant layout for feasibility study and inputs for detailing phase of project
