About the Role

As a Deputy Manager - Legal & Compliance, you will support the organization by managing legal documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating legal risks, and advising internal stakeholders on legal and governance matters. The role requires strong legal drafting skills, regulatory awareness, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external legal advisors.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents Ensure compliance with applicable corporate laws, labor laws, and industry regulations Handle legal disputes, litigation matters, and coordinate with external legal advisors when required Provide legal guidance to internal teams on business operations, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements Assist with company secretarial activities, statutory filings, and regulatory documentation Manage matters related to intellectual property, trademarks, and legal claims Monitor and track changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization Support legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring initiatives Conduct legal research and prepare reports, summaries, and updates for management review

Job Requirements:

Education

Graduation from a recognized institution (Law background preferred)

Experience & Skills

Experience in legal, compliance, or corporate governance roles Strong drafting, review, and negotiation skills Working knowledge of corporate law, labor law, and regulatory frameworks Ability to manage litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel Strong research, documentation, and reporting capabilities Ability to provide practical legal guidance to business and operations teams Close attention to detail and strong risk-assessment skills Ability to work independently in a structured, work-from-office environment
