Role Purpose
----------------
The incumbent of this role is accountable for the end-to-end completion of the survey assignment at the project site from the pre-design phase till the execution phase.
The role holder supports Vertical Lead - Survey during the pre-design phase to drive survey activities at the project site.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth execution of the survey assignment within best quality and set timelines with a focus on creating tangible gains for the project execution through the creative use of tolerance limits.
The incumbent is also responsible for resolving operational issues to ensure minimal impact on the survey delivery timelines and review the outputs of the junior team members.
Key Responsibilities

Survey Planning & Performance

+ Plan for the requirement of resources (time, manpower, equipment etc.) and develop a schedule for site execution that effectively allocates the resources while meeting the set standards.
+ Drive the day-to-day survey activities at the project ensuring that accurate data is being captured by the survey team.
+ Assign and inspect the tasks of the junior survey team members while working on the overall survey outputs.
+ Define tolerance levels during project execution to create tangible gains for GRIL.
+ Ensure that the latest revision of design is being used during the execution phase as shared by the design team.
Survey Operations

+ Frequent review of survey assignment progress and identify underlying deviations from schedule.
+ Review the survey data to ensure first time right data capture.
+ Ensure that timely red flags are raised for data related issues during the execution to the project manager.
Stakeholder Management & Data gathering

+ Apprise the GRIL seniors of the survey assignment progress and request for support/necessary inputs to ensure smooth survey operations and delivery.
+ Resolve any issues related to specific site and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
+ Capture the progress of survey activities through relevant reporting mechanisms and share the reports with the relevant stakeholders.
People Management

+ Ensure that all employee grievances are handled in an appropriate manner.
+ Facilitate functional development and awareness of the team on the latest technologies/equipment etc. being used in the survey function.
Indicative Experience and Exposure
--------------------------------------
Diploma in with 3-7 years experience in handling survey assignments for construction projects
or
BE/B.Tech with 2-5 years experience in survey operations
or
M.Tech with 2-4 years experience
* Experience in handling multiple survey assignments for construction projects
