Deputy Manager - Insurance Operations (Grade D1)

An opportunity to understand services which are integral part of Insurance broking lifecycle
Within the first 30 days, we would expect you gain in-depth knowledge of the service you would handle & understand the role requirements. Within 60 days, attain competency & establish good relationship with all colleagues & onshore stakeholders & finally within 90 days, be able to manage the team seamlessly with limited support
As a new colleague, you will be provided with Business Overview/Insights, Team dynamics & Operating Model, Roles & Responsibilities for each level, Expectations of various stakeholders to make you successful in this role

Manage SLAs on Accuracy, productivity and TAT per agreed standards with internal/external stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient deliveries
Responsible for managing available resources (people, process) effectively to ensure operational efficiency
Maintain a day to day stakeholder interaction & develop relationship with first line managers of operating companies for constant flow of information on performance (daily, weekly, monthly), exceptions, expectations, forecasts, process changes and new opportunities
Should have a view of the competencies, potential and performance levels of team to be able to create development plans for skill requirements ( manage & mentor average performing PLs & all Associates & Sr. Associates)
Responsible for setting goals for team, reviewing and giving timely and objective feedback to all teams with a view to identify skill and competency gaps and develop learning plans
Responsible for implementing people development plans for current and future skill requirements of the team
Responsible for ensuring an engaged workforce with a view of levels of engagement and intent to stay of team
Effectively drive a culture of adherence to policies & procedures by the team as per organizations standards and laid out SOPs
Maintain performance on risk and compliance & highlight areas of improvement in operations risk
Report & highlight exceptions on processes, people, policies and escalate on the same wherever required
What you need to have:
Knowledge of Broking business and Insurance terminologies.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects during peak volume periods
Collaborative mindset across levels and teams
Good command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word)
Proven abilities in performance management
Graduate
Graduate in any field
2 years of Team Manager experience in Insurance broking; Certificates exp. preferred
Flexible to work in any shifts as per business requirement
Expected shift timing - 2:30pm - 11:30pm and last week of the month 6:30pm to 3:30am
Have proven track record in problem solving and stakeholder reporting
Should have undertaken the responsibility of coaching/mentoring team members.
