Job Title: Deputy Manager - Injection Molding

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Industry: Auto Components Manufacturing

Location: Saharanpur. UP.

Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Purpose:

To oversee daily operations of the injection molding department, ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, cost control, and team management in a high-volume automotive components manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

Plan and monitor daily production targets to meet delivery schedules.

Ensure optimal machine utilization and minimize downtime.

Review and improve cycle times and output efficiency.

Process Optimization:

Analyze and optimize injection molding parameters for improved productivity and reduced rejection rates.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, TPM).

Quality Assurance:

Ensure products meet customer and industry specifications.

Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

Coordinate with QA/QC teams to address non-conformities.

Team Supervision:

Lead, guide, and train shift engineers, supervisors, and operators.

Allocate manpower efficiently across shifts and machines.

Conduct performance appraisals and skill gap assessments.

Maintenance Coordination:

Collaborate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain production records, shift reports, and process logs.

Prepare MIS reports for senior management review.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce adherence to safety protocols and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines.

Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, and other relevant standards.

Key Requirements:

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Polymer Engineering

Experience: 5-8 years in injection molding, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role in the auto components sector

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of injection molding machines (e.g., Arburg, Engel, Haitian, Fanuc)

Familiar with mold setting, troubleshooting, and material handling (PA6, PP, ABS, etc.)

Proficient in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
