Responsibilities: * Complete responsibility of the coal sampling from the different sources.

• Complete responsibility of timely and precisely preparation of the coal sample.
• Ensure the analysis of the coal samples as per Adani SOP
• Monitor and control of the all the operational and quality parameters of the coal samples.
• Responsibility of the 100 % availability of all the equipment of coal sample preparation and analysis instruments.
• Heat balancing of the plant coal quantity according to the available GCV of stock pile and fired coal GCV.
• Cross verification of the GCV between two different bomb calorimeter instruments and repeatability and reproducibility to be insured.
• Timely calibration of the all the equipment relating to the coal analysis.
• Administrative control of the Associates i.e M/s Geo Chem.
• Processing of the contractor bill within the time period without error.
• Ensure the availability of the necessary chemicals for at least 60 days.
• Responsibility of the PR for chemical, equipment and Instrument required in coal sampling, preparation and analysis and follow up till the receiving of the material at site.
• Witnessing of the Physical Verification of the coal.
• Ensure the timely raise of the issues in SAP.
• Ensure the corrective and preventive maintenance of all the equipment and instruments.
• Monitoring and validation of the associates attendance in Kronos.
• Complete responsibility of 100 % availability of the instruments and equipment.
• Scheduled calibration of the bomb calorimeters through OEM or OEM recommended agency.
• SO quantity for lab equipment emergency visit shall be available till the last date of the SO closing date.
• Proficiency Test (PT) and Inter Laboratory Test (ILC) shall be performed as per NABL requirements.
• Review the Quality manual and Quality procedure as and when required.
• Timely perform the internal and external audits of NABL scope as per NABL requirements.
• NABL document to be maintained up to date.
• Service order made available for the Coal Ultimate and proximate analysis , Ash Fusion Temperature Analysis, HGI and Ash Elemental analysis from external laboratory.
• Processing of the contractor bill within the time period without error.
• Responsibility for raise the service PR before six months of last date of the running service order.
• Intermittent cross validation of the temperature sensor of the furnace and oven through external device.
• Effectively preservation of the referee and third party samples.
• Regular Tool box talks with associates for safe coal sampling and preparation.
• Evaluate and trained the associate for coal sampling and preparation as per Adani SOP.
• Coal Reference sample from NABL accredited manufacture to be available at site and schedule perform the test with reference sample.
• Certificate from Reference coal sample and Oxygen Gas purity to be obtained from the supplier.
• List of the capex instrument /Equipment to be provided in one year advance i.e. before the finalization of the capex budget.
• Schedule sampling and analysis of the Mill fineness.
• Coal Ultimate and proximate analysis, Ash Fusion Temperature Analysis, HGI and Ash Elemental analysis from external laboratory to be done as per management requirement.
• Adequate quantity of fine chemical required for oil analysis shall be available at site.
• Validation of the coal sampling, preparation and analysis procedure.

Qualifications:
Master of Science with minimum 10 years of experience in coal chemistry.
