Job Title: Deputy Manager - Electrical Design - Industrial & Lifescience Sectors

Department: Electrical Design

Location: Bangalore, Electronic City, Phase-1

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with 10 - 15 years of experience in electrical design for industrial and Life science projects. The ideal candidate will have a consultancy background and proven expertise in designing electrical systems, preparing detailed engineering documentation, and ensuring seamless integration of electrical designs into multidisciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Design Development:

Create and develop detailed electrical designs, including:

o Power distribution systems.

o Lighting and emergency lighting systems.

o Earthing and bonding systems.

o Low voltage (LV) and extra-low voltage (ELV) systems.

Conduct electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and fault current studies.

Prepare single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and technical specifications.

Consultancy and Project Management:

Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and other consultants, to understand and deliver project requirements.

Provide technical consultancy and ensure designs align with project objectives and timelines.

Integration and Coordination:

Work closely with MEP, structural, and architectural teams to ensure proper integration of electrical systems.

Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to specify and validate equipment selections.

Documentation and Standards Compliance:

Develop detailed engineering documents such as BOQs, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, and tender documents.

Ensure all designs comply with relevant local and international standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS codes) and safety regulations.

Support During Execution:

Provide technical support during tendering, contractor evaluations, and the construction phase.

Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and resolve on-site design issues.

Sustainability and Innovation:

Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices, adhering to LEED/WELL standards where applicable.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.

Experience: Experience in electrical design for industrial and Life science projects, preferably with a consultancy background.

Skills:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM for electrical documentation.

Expertise in tools such as Dialux for lighting design and ETAP for power system analysis.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems in industrial and Life science environments, including clean rooms and process-specific systems.

Familiarity with safety standards, including hazardous area classifications (ATEX/IECEx).

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
