:
Summary : Develop Product/Application of Turbochargers for Commercial vehicle and/or Off-highway engines.
Win new turbocharger programs towards increasing Garrett share of demand in the market. Successfully launch new products into the market. KPIs: Win Rate, MM% - Award Vs SOP, NPS, Flawless Launch, VA/VE pipelinse ideas.Increase Garrett revenue and operating margins.
Key Responsibilities :-
Follow new product development process from start to production in close coordination with Marketing, Sales, PM, SB, ME and PL
Drive DFM, DTC and productivity improvement (eg. RTY) right from the start of the project.
Own and ensure timely engineering readiness - Packaging, Design, Validation and Reports.
Ensure 1st time right designs. Work with proto shop for "on time-every time" test hardware.
Own and deliver DVPnR for respective programs. Identify, Manage and Mitigate risks.
Own and resolve Launch issues. Support Field issue resolution via qualified and proven solutions. Use Garrett reliability tools and six-sigma approach for problem solving
Support organization on innovation, VA/VE, and standardization initiatives.
Support customer team on technical presentations, transactional pricing, and other reviews.
Alignment on technical requirements & timelines as per customer program management
Documentation & test reporting of application projects meeting quality systems
Enhance customer relationship through regular meetings/travel to various customer / testing locations
Education & Experience : BE in Mechanical / Automobile engineering. Minimum 5 years' experience in Automotive powertrain systems/component development.
Key Skill :
Automotive domain knowledge. Working knowledge IC engines. Knowledge of engine Air/Fuel management systems.
Engine test procedures and results analysis.
Experience in instrumentation / sensors. Knowledge of engine tools like INCA, VISU etc. would be advantageous.
Knowledge of casting, machining, stamping processes. Design skills, GD&T etc.
Good analytical capabilities, good verbal and written communication, presence of mind and technical negotiations skills, problem solving and continuous learning attitude
