Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables



"To study the received drawing and to confirm the manufacturability

Prepare Budget for developing different systems / parts of Trims & EGS (Elastomer, Glass & Seals)

To develop right quality of parts to support desired production levels following APQP & MPDS process

Working in SAP , cordys & teamcenter

Send RFQ to Panel suppliers, get Quotation and synthesising, submit for VOB (Vendor on Board) process.

Estimate costs component wise and details costing of the components/new part.

Draw up a plan to develop/procure components with vendors within time, cost and quality objectives

To participate in settling the Part / material and FTG (Facility, Tools & Gauges) cost within the budgeted values.

Vendor analysis and rationalization for capacity assessment, time frame agreement

To ensure the material and tooling cost are settled within the budgeted values

To support pricing cell in cost estimation activities component wise and details costing of the components/new part

Effective co-ordination with the CFT (Design, Engineering, Platform, Plant & Supplier) team to ensure first time right and end delivery of product

Variance analysis at each stage of development in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery and corrective action

Developing and implementing innovative approaches in cost reduction of current projects

Development of Packaging & Transportation proposal and follow approval process through CFT

To assess / negotiate investments involved for toolings / vendor aid requirement for components development

To support the pricing cell in selection of vendor as per guiding policy for the part

Should be able to adhere and track Budgets

To meet MRD (Material Receipt Date) targets throughour various Project milestone like VP, PP, SOP and SOP + 3 months

To meet the Gateways as per MPDS (Mahindra Product Development System) targets for projects.

To get actively involved in project feasibility studies

Responsible for quality, Cost and delivery (QCD) targets for all new products and improvements in existing products

Interface with the commodity teams to identify potential suppliers, get suppliers ratings, costs, and sourcing policy.

Support STA counterpart in part development as per APQP process and Project timelines

Handover the project to Plant SCM (Supply Chain Management) after meeting the Delivery requirement, following the Project closure procedure."
