Objectives of the Position

To manage and lead the lab team in accordance with business requirement and to ensure smooth workflows as well as adequate product and process quality, to optimize cost, quality, Safety, and environment.

APQP and NCM documentation.

Support to Production and quality control for standardization.

Main Tasks

Responsible for developing new color and Products as per customer request or to suit line condition of customer.

Solve problems, examine root causes of encountered problems, and work out sound scientific solutions to problems.

To optimize cost in existing product.

Provide support to production during new formulation and process of product.

Continual improvement in quality of products.

Follow lab safety practice and the RC guidelines in laboratory.

Visit customers to resolve the issues at line.

Project management for Customization Lab

EHS Management:

Develop and update EHS procedures for Customization lab as per RCMS.

Implement those procedures at CL to maintain safe working environment.

Conduct walkthrough and audits in CL to ensure early identification of hazards and initiate timely corrective actions and preventive practices.

Implement Safety, Health, and Environment system in lab. Develop safety culture in Lab.

To ensure the safe handling of hazardous chemicals and adherence to PPE usage and the Work Permit system is properly followed. Compliance of process safety and environment code as per BASF practice.

Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position

Incumbent should be BTech/MTech Polymer, Surface Coatings or Chemical Engg.

10-12 years of Extensive experience in automotive coatings or related fields.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead a team and has at least 5 years of experience in leading a team.

Excellent Project Management Skills. Ability to work on multiple development projects.

Self-motivated team player with exceptional people skills and character and a desire to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and lean environment.
