Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Perform should costing for mechanical parts such as casting, forging, machining, and proprietary vehicle components. Map costed Bill of Materials (BOM) effectively to ensure accurate cost tracking and analysis. Manage and evaluate cost changes to maintain budget compliance and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and document BOM costs for new parts, concepts, assemblies, and redesigns. Benchmark competitor costs and provide actionable cost optimization suggestions to the design team. Conduct detailed profitability analysis and advise the project team on strategic make-or-buy decisions. Produce and deliver monthly material cost reports at both the vehicle and system levels.
