Master Checker Development & Management Own the end-to-end development of Master Checker for new vehicle programs and major model changes.
Coordinate cross-functionally with Body-in-White (BIW), Trims, Closures, Electrical, and Vehicle Integration teams to define and finalize scope and content.
Ensure Master Checker represents the "Golden Standard" with best-in-class fit & finish, correct geometry, and critical interface control.
Interface with design, CMM, and fixture/tooling teams for tolerance stack-up, GD&T validation, and checker feasibility.
Standardization & Best Practices Define and standardize formats and processes for Master Checker development across vehicle programs.
Benchmark global best practices in Master Checker development (including modularity, reuse, accessibility) and adopt where feasible.
Develop digital twins of checkers as part of the virtual validation loop.
Quality, Audit & Deployment Ensure Master Checker is used effectively for fitment audits, cross-carline interface checks, and visual quality standards.
Create documentation like BOMs, fit & finish maps, and critical interface guides.
Ensure traceability of all modifications and issue logs for Master Checker over the development cycle.
