Job Purpose: The Business Development Executive will conduct comprehensive market research on the Indian coal, power, and other related industries, analyzing market dynamics and government policies. The role involves preparing detailed reports, maintaining databases, and developing strategic notes to support the Business Development team and AEL management, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
Bidding & Tendering Executive - Mining
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct in-depth research and analysis on market developments and government policies in the Indian coal mining industry, focusing on opportunities for the Mine Developer Cum Operator (MDO) business.
Analyze the Indian coal-fired power market and related policies from the Ministry, preparing notes and reports based on business requirements.
Perform custom research on other mining and relevant industries as per management directives, compiling detailed notes and analyses.
Database Management and Reporting:
Prepare, maintain, and periodically update comprehensive databases on Indian captive coal blocks to keep the BD team and management well-informed.
Track and analyze tenders floated by various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) related to MDO and coal washery operations, preparing eligibility lists based on qualification requirements (QR).
Circulate daily news articles on coal mining market developments and power market news relevant to the coal mining industry among the BD team.
Competitor and Strategic Analysis:
Maintain and update information on the technical and financial capabilities of MDO business competitors, identifying qualifying parties as per QR published by various MDO tenders.
Research, analyze, and prepare presentations on strategic planning for the next five years in the mining business, including the shortlisting of coal blocks, MDO tenderorauction timelines, production phasing, and SWOT analysis of existing business operations.
Technology and IT Enablement:
Utilize MS Office proficiently for data analysis, report preparation, and presentation development.
Employ data analysis techniques to enhance the accuracy and reliability of research findings and strategic notes.
Ensure that all databases, reports, and presentations are updated regularly and accessible to relevant stakeholders within the organization.

Qualifications:
Preferred: B.E / B. Tech (Mining Engineering) from any reputed institute (ISM Preferred)
