The Deputy Manager - Product Sales will be responsible for driving order booking targets, expanding market share, and building long-term customer relationships in the boiler and energy solutions sector. The role demands a result-oriented sales professional with technical knowledge of boilers and industrial heating solutions, strong customer engagement skills, and proven ability to convert leads into confirmed orders.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual
order booking targets
for boilers, hybrid solutions, and related products.
Generate new business opportunities through
direct sales, channel partners, and strategic accounts
.
Identify and qualify leads, prepare techno-commercial proposals, and negotiate contracts to closure.
Work closely with the marketing team to execute
sales campaigns, product launches, and exhibitions
.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with
consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and end-users
.
Monitor competitor activities (Thermax and local players) and suggest strategies to improve
price positioning and value selling
.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams for
feasibility, costing, and timely submission of offers
.
Prepare and present
sales forecasts, order pipeline reports, and MIS dashboards
to management.
Ensure
customer satisfaction and repeat business
through proactive engagement and after-sales coordination.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Order booking vs. target achievement (%).
New customer acquisition count.
Conversion ratio of enquiries to orders (%).
Contribution margin from booked orders.
On-time proposal submission rate.
Customer retention and repeat order ratio.
Qualifications & Experience
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering or MBA in Marketing (preferred).
Min 8 years of experience in
capital equipment/boiler/thermal energy systems sales
.
Strong understanding of
boiler technology, thermic fluid heaters, steam systems, and hybrid solutions
.
Proven track record of
achieving order booking targets
in industrial sales.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to travel extensively across India and international markets (if required).
