This role requires a blend of consulting expertise, stakeholder engagement, and operational leadership to drive transformative financial improvements while ensuring seamless business continuity.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Finance Transformationxc2xb7 Develop and execute a roadmap for AP process transformation, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and scalability.xc2xb7 Analyze existing workflows and identify cost-saving opportunities through automation and process re-engineering.xc2xb7 Champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence in AP processes.Technology & Automation Leadershipxc2xb7 Oversee digital transformation initiatives, including AI-driven invoice processing, OCR integration, and ERP automation.xc2xb7 Evaluate and implement AP automation tools, optimizing reconciliation, approvals, and payment cycles.xc2xb7 Stay abreast of emerging financial technologies to ensure a future-ready AP function.Stakeholder & Vendor Managementxc2xb7 Cultivate strong relationships with senior finance leaders, procurement heads, and external partners to align AP transformation goals.xc2xb7 Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure standardization and compliance with international payment regulations.xc2xb7 Lead negotiations with vendors and financial institutions to drive cost-effective payment solutions.Operational Excellence & Compliancexc2xb7 Establish and maintain KPIs for AP performance, tracking invoice processing times, payment accuracy, and vendor satisfaction.xc2xb7 Ensure adherence to financial governance policies and regulatory frameworks.xc2xb7 Conduct periodic audits to assess fraud risks, AP controls, and financial integrity.Consulting & Change Managementxc2xb7 Drive AP process improvement initiatives, collaborating with consulting firms and internal finance teams.xc2xb7 Develop a structured change management approach, ensuring minimal disruption during transformation efforts.xc2xb7 Conduct training and upskilling sessions for finance teams on new AP technologies and methodologies.Leadership & Communicationxc2xb7 Lead a high-performing finance transformation team, mentoring junior professionals in AP strategy.xc2xb7 Present AP transformation insights, recommendations, and financial impact reports to senior leadership and board members.xc2xb7 Foster a culture of continuous innovation, cost efficiency, and accountability in finance operations.Required educationBachelor's DegreePreferred educationMaster's DegreeRequired technical and professional expertisexc2xb7 Deep expertise in AP processes, procurement finance, and shared services environments.xc2xb7 Consulting experience in finance transformation, automation, and process reengineering.xc2xb7 Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in finance, operations, and procurement.xc2xb7 Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) and AP automation tools (RPA, AI-driven AP solutions).xc2xb7 Strategic mindset with the ability to drive sustainable cost efficiencies.xc2xb7 Exceptional communication skills-able to translate complex financial strategies into actionable insights.Preferred technical and professional experiencexc2xb7 MBA, CA, or CPA qualification will be an edgexc2xb7 Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Financial Process Automation, or Agile Finance.xc2xb7 Experience in global finance transformation and shared service center environments.ABOUT BUSINESS UNITIBM Consulting is IBM's consulting and global professional services business, with market leading capabilities in business and technology transformation.
