Purpose of the RoleWe are looking for a PHP/Java Web Architect/Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by you/co-workers into the application. Therefore, a sound understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
The position requires the Tech Architect to act as Single Point Accountability for the Technology choices made by
TML. The position also requires,
Ownership of architectural decisions of system changes and enhancements to enterprise systems
To jointly own the key attributes of enterprise systems performance, scalability, flexibility,
security and cost of ownership, along with the Infrastructure team
To create and maintain technology roadmap for organization
To provide directional input to CIO on technology decisions on key initiatives
To own and manage Tech Debt of Tata Motors IT SystemsJob Responsibility1. Contribution to planning:
Lead design, development, implementation and maintenance of Mobility Initiatives demonstrating thorough knowledge of Web, Mobility Design and development landscape through secure applications development technology best practices.
Should know how to estimate work in various scenarios and be able to drive estimations for multiple line-items. Should be able to drive synergy across projects and programs.2. Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term):

Technical Competency
Should be able to fully understand synchronous behaviour of PHP and other open source technologies and frameworks like Springs for web and portal hosting.
Very good understanding of MVC design patterns.
Expert understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Very good Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
Very good at code analysis, defect analysis, log analysis etc. Should know the problem statement and have working knowledge of root cause analysis frameworks like fish-bone, affinity etc. Working through all stages of SDLC with customer interactions is a must. Agile methodology knowledge and experience is a good add on.
Excellent understanding of multi-tier architectures with modular approach of architecting the server end of solution.
Hands on with web development in technologies like PHP, Java, Angular JS, other open source technologies and COTS products like Microsoft .Net framework and .Net Core.
Industry Expertise
Experience in a Multi-vendor scenario-based setup in a large enterprise.
Versatility in usage of technologies across business domains.
Should know how to estimate work in various scenarios and be able to drive estimations for multiple line-items. Should be able to drive synergy across projects and programs.
Design Thinking experience is very desirable.
Production support experience is desirable.
Good cost focus while proposing solutions to business.

Own TML Mobility Initiatives and define upgrade path where necessary.

• Education : Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, MBA Information Systems or related technical field
• Minimum experience requirement : 10-15 Years
• Working knowledge requirement
• Defining and Driving the philosophy of web and mobility architecture at a high level and build multi-year roadmap on the innovation and evolution of the same in relation to the upcoming trends and advent of new technologies.
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with backend technologies
• Leading the end-to-end architectures and delivery for multiple projects at a time
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable modules across projects drive the same with vendors, partners etc.
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges and be ready to do deep dive and solve such issues at short notice at times.
• Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)

Skills & CompetenciesMust Have Skills:
Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, Yii, codeigniter etc)
Strong knowledge of server end scripts like Python-Django, Ruby on Rails, .Net Core, ASP.Net, Java etc.
Strong Knowledge of other client server frameworks like Spring MVC etc.
Strong knowledge of the common (various language based) web server exploits and their solutions
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments; knowledge of open source LDAPs
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds/alternatives
Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Github, and automation tools like Travis_CIKey Attributes in the candidate:
