Position Overview
The Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Projects at IKRAFT will be responsible for end-to-end execution and management of all interior fit-out projects. This role involves overseeing project planning, execution, budget control, quality and safety compliance, client communication, and stakeholder coordination. The DGM will ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
Oversee the day-to-day operations of all ongoing interior projects.
Ensure timely completion of all project milestones in line with approved timelines and budgets.
Manage project schedules, resources (manpower and materials), and subcontractors in accordance with project plans.
Monitor site progress regularly and address delays or issues proactively.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all work is carried out in adherence to safety regulations and company quality standards.
Implement quality control measures and conduct regular site audits and inspections.
Financial Management
Monitor and control project budgets; ensure cost-effectiveness in procurement and execution.
Oversee timely raising of invoices and ensure payments are received as per agreed terms.
Track project financial health and take corrective actions as necessary.
Project Profitability & Cost Control
Take full ownership of project-level profitability by ensuring efficient planning, budgeting, and execution.
Monitor cost-to-completion against budgets; identify deviations early and implement corrective actions.
Optimize resource allocation to reduce wastage and improve margins without compromising on quality.
Work closely with procurement and finance teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing and financial discipline.
Ensure timely billing and collections to maintain healthy project cash flow.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for clients for all project-related matters.
Proactively manage client expectations and resolve escalations promptly and effectively.
Ensure transparent and timely communication between the client, project teams, and IKRAFT management.
Issue regular project updates and lead fortnightly project review meetings with all stakeholders.
Risk & Issue Management
Identify potential risks or issues early in the project lifecycle and implement mitigation plans.
Lead incident and escalation management efforts, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines or deliverables.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage
Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out project management, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role.
