Job Description

The Deputy General Manager - Production will play a vital role in driving the company's production strategy and achieving its goals. This position entails overall responsibility for production processes, from setting targets and schedules to implementing improvement projects and ensuring adherence to quality standards and legal requirements. The successful candidate will have a direct impact on the company's success by optimizing production efficiency and maintaining high-quality standards.

Accountabilities

Scope of work





To set the production target



Overall responsibility for all production activities. Watch over the production process and coming up with a production schedule. Identify improvement projects, getting approval & executing the same





To prepare corrective action & preventive action plan for the production non-conformities



Making sure the production is cost effective. Supervise the production processes and regulate schedules as per requirement. Evaluating the performance of people working under them. Keeping the team motivated. Implementing the organizations goals and policies along with the managers. Setting healthy and safe guidelines and making sure they are followed stringently. They make sure that the services and goods are made efficiently and they also ensure that the quantity, quality and price are right.





Ensures costs & sets up quality standards



See the customers are satisfied and goods are produced on time. Direct responsibility for control of annual plant budgets. Direct responsibility for safety of personnel, facilities & equipment Overall responsibility for adherence to local laws, especially labor laws, fire & explosives, safety, electrical installation, etc. Direct responsibility to implement the safety systems in the plant area. Direct responsibility for achieving the targeted yields, losses & usage factors for ingredients & utilities.

Desirable experience:



Production & Process Knowledge of beverages Industry benchmarking methodology and other experiences are an advantage.





Set production targets and develop a comprehensive production schedule. Identify and execute improvement projects, ensuring a smooth and efficient production process. Prepare and implement corrective and preventive action plans for any production non-conformities. Ensure cost-effectiveness and set quality standards for all production activities. Supervise and evaluate the performance of the production team, providing motivation and guidance. Implement organizational goals and policies, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Directly manage annual plant budgets and ensure the safety of personnel, facilities, and equipment. Adhere to local laws, especially labor laws, and implement safety systems within the plant area. Achieve targeted yields, minimize losses, and optimize the usage of ingredients and utilities.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 10-15 years of experience in the beverages industry, with a strong background in production and process knowledge. Experience in benchmarking methodology and industry best practices is an advantage. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement. Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Knowledge of quality control and assurance processes, ensuring adherence to standards. Familiarity with local laws and regulations, especially those related to labor, safety, and electrical installations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. * Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
