to lead and manage the Science department. The candidate will be responsible for curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, student performance improvement, and ensuring high academic standards in the subject area. This role requires strong subject expertise, leadership abilities, and effective classroom management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Science department by providing academic and administrative guidance.
Plan, implement, and review the Science curriculum in alignment with board guidelines.
Mentor, supervise, and evaluate Science teachers to ensure effective teaching practices.
Organize departmental meetings, workshops, and training sessions for teachers.
Monitor student performance and introduce strategies to improve learning outcomes.
Ensure the use of innovative and practical teaching methodologies, including lab activities.
Prepare academic schedules, lesson plans, and assessment strategies for the department.
Collaborate with school leadership to develop academic policies and strategies.
Organize science exhibitions, competitions, and extracurricular activities to encourage student participation.
Maintain proper documentation, reports, and performance records for the department.
Requirements:
M.Sc. in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related field) with B.Ed. mandatory.
Minimum 3 years of teaching/academic leadership experience.
Strong subject expertise with proven ability to improve student outcomes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in curriculum design and teacher mentoring preferred.
