Job Summary:
The Dental Milling Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining milling machines to produce high-quality dental prosthetics, crowns, bridges, and other dental components. This role involves working with digital impressions and CAD/CAM systems to fabricate dental restorations with precision and accuracy. Experience: 5-10 years Key Responsibilities:

• CAD/CAM System Operation:
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to design dental prosthetics based on digital impressions.
• Operate computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) systems for the milling of dental restorations.
• Milling Machine Operation:
• Set up and operate milling machines to fabricate dental crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices.
• Monitor and adjust machine parameters to ensure accurate and precise milling.
• Material Selection:
• Select appropriate materials for specific dental restorations based on prescription and requirements.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of milling tools.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect milled dental products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Make adjustments as needed to meet quality standards.
• Collaboration with Dental Technicians:
• Work closely with dental technicians to understand and interpret case specifications.
• Collaborate on case planning and problem-solving.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of cases, including materials used, machine settings, and production times.
• Document any issues or deviations from the standard process.
• Safety and Maintenance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for the operation of milling equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on milling machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Continuous Learning:
• Stay informed about advancements in dental milling technology and techniques.
• Attend training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Customer Communication:
• Communicate with dental laboratories and clinicians to clarify case requirements.
• Provide updates on case progress and address any concerns or questions.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or certification in dental technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Dental Milling Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and milling machine operation.
• Understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and materials used in dental restorations.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
