Dental Assistant
to become a valued member of our dental team. The role involves assisting the dentist during clinical procedures, supporting patient care, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
:
Assisting with procedures
: Help the dentist during various dental treatments and procedures, such as fillings, cleanings, and extractions.
Patient care
: Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures, positioning them in the dental chair, and making them comfortable.
Sterilization and infection control
: Maintain strict hygiene and sterilization standards in the operatory.
X-rays/OPG
: Prepare and take dental X-rays/OPG as directed by the dentist, ensuring proper exposure and patient comfort.
Maintaining Records
: Assist with updating and maintaining patient records, including treatment plans, dental histories, and progress notes.
Handling and organizing dental materials:
Mix dental materials for fillings, impressions, and other procedures as required.
Equipment maintenance
: Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and functioning properly.
Administration
: Help with appointment scheduling, patient check-in, and managing office supplies.
Qualifications
:
Education
: 12th. Completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Certification
: Certification in dental assisting (e.g., CDA or equivalent) is preferred
Experience
: Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
Skills Required
:
Familiarity with dental software (e.g., scheduling, patient records).
Knowledge of dental procedures and instruments.
CPR and first aid certification.
