. The role involves supporting the Chef de Partie in managing a section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene while supervising junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Chef de Partie in running a specific kitchen section (hot, cold, or pastry).
Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently to company standards.
Supervise and train Commis chefs in your section.
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
Monitor stock control, portioning, and minimize wastage.
Work closely with the team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Contribute ideas for menu improvements and new dishes.
Requirements:
Proven experience as
Demi CDP
or senior Commis in a professional kitchen.
Strong culinary skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Flexible to work in
rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays
.
Education & Experience:
Diploma/Certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent preferred.
Minimum
3-5 years
of relevant kitchen experience.
