Desired Skills and experience

Domain Expertise:
6+ years in QA/testing for capital-markets, trading or investment banking applications.
Automation Tech Skills: Proficient in Java/Selenium, JUnit/TestNG, Postman, REST/SOAP APIs, and load testing tools.
Protocol Knowledge: Hands-on with FIX, market data feeds, trading workflows, Post?Trade/STP.
Tools and Platforms: Experience with Jira, Confluence, SQL, Unix/Linux.
Methodologies: Strong Agile/Scrum background; ability to adapt across SDLC.
Leadership: Proven experience managing offshore/onshore QA teams and collaborating with cross-functional groups.
Direct experience with trading vendors (e.g. Broadridge), order management systems, and electronic trading platforms.
Background in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps integration, and performance/load testing.
Lead and mentor a QA team in a global delivery model.
Establish and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans from scratch.
Address immediate pain points in UI and API (SOAPUI, Maven, Jenkins) testing, including triage and framework improvement.
Develop and execute test cases for both UI and API, with a focus on FSI Sales & Trading workflows.
Drive the creation of regression test suites for critical back-office applications.
Collaborate with development, business analysts, and project managers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
Implement and utilize test management tools (e.g., X-Ray/JIRA).
Provide clear and concise reporting on QA progress and metrics to management.
Bring strong subject matter expertise in FSI, particularly fixed income trading products and workflows.
Demonstrated ability to optimize and reuse QA assets for efficiency.
Experience in building structured automation backlogs and aligning them with business priorities.
Proficiency in developing scalable frameworks and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Capability to maintain automation packs and ensure continuous improvement of QA processes."
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Agile, or domain-specific credentials.
