We have an opening for a Delivery Lead - Operations



The Delivery Lead, Global Technical Delivery (GTD) guarantees the execution, delivery and release of all projects and engineering initiatives within their designated GTD teams. They will work within the bounds of the Software Development Life Cycle of assigned projects - coordinating with the Global Project Management Team to deliver to the highest expectations. Substantial experience in providing stakeholder visibility of deliverables, as well as managing any delays and blockers is required. This role will demand seamless adaptation to new agile ways of working and require rapid development of relationships with many diverse teams to ensure excellence in collaboration.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (maximum 10)

1. Responsible for on-time delivery of all technical delivery commitments, specifically large-scale resource scheduling, complex task dependency planning, forecasting, and risk mitigation.

2. Broad expertise in various SDLC areas (Solution, Engineering, Testing, Delivery) with the ability to enforce industry and regulatory best practices and company standards use within their teams.

3. Guide teams to reflect and identify improvements and successfully embed new approaches that move them towards high-performance.

4. Chairs regular delivery team planning exercises, with keen focus on release coordination, task dependencies, and critical path alignment and sustainment.

5. Chairs regular team delivery "scrum-of-scrums" and acts as decision maker and escalation point-of-contact in resolving implementation impediments.

6. Ensures software quality and operability are included within all aspects of the delivery process, that can be measured with standard operating metrics.

7. Works with resource management solutions to balance the workload and client priorities whilst adapting to changing expectations.

8. Brings together the different disciplines within GTD to support alignment across the organization.

4. Champions the implementation of best practices, with emphasis on agility, to improve all aspects of our quality, productivity, and efficiency.

5. Standardizes all facets of the project delivery processes for their allocated areas and sponsors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES



Essential:



1. Six (6+) years of extensive software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience, deploying software and/or services at rapid pace with significant technical experience of project and resource management technique and tools.

2. Four (4+) years of progressive enterprise solution delivery, software/test engineering and/or solution architecture experience.

3. Two (2+) years of progressive and global, departmental and personnel management experience within engineering and delivery organizations.

4. Proven experience in enforcing compliance to quality strategy, standards, regulatory, and best practices for enterprise software development.

5. A passion for metrics and driving towards objective results, with vast presentation experience at any stakeholder level.

6. Hands-on manager with a history of managing concurrent end-to-end projects delivering on time with high quality and strong client satisfaction.

7. Keeps up to date with the latest technical trends in engineering, professional services, agile processes, and project management disciplines, with the ability to drive learning within projects to their teams.

8. Experienced in developing high-performance delivery teams.

9. Exceptional stakeholder management experience with confidence to handle difficult conversations, courage to deal with escalations on a regular basis and challenge the status quo to drive sustainable change within and across the organization.

10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

6. Experience with the Atlassian suite of products (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)

7. Working knowledge of SCRUM, Kanban, and DevOps frameworks.
