The Delivery Executive is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of paint products and related materials to customers, dealers, contractors, and project sites. The role includes handling loading/unloading, verifying delivery orders, maintaining delivery records, and ensuring good customer service during deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery Operations
Deliver paints, primers, tools, and other materials to customers as per the delivery schedule.
Verify and cross-check items, quantities, and invoices before dispatch.
Ensure all deliveries are made safely, on time, and with proper documentation.
Collect payments or acknowledgements (if applicable) and submit to the store office.
2. Vehicle & Material Handling
Handle products with care to avoid spillage or damage during transport.
Ensure proper loading, stacking, and securing of paint cans, boxes, and materials.
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle (two-wheeler or goods vehicle).
Report any vehicle maintenance needs or damages immediately.
3. Customer Interaction
Maintain polite and professional communication with customers during deliveries.
Obtain customer signatures or receipts upon delivery.
Handle customer queries courteously and report any delivery issues to the Store Manager.
4. Store Support
Assist in loading/unloading of goods in the store when not on delivery.
Help in organizing inventory and maintaining the store's cleanliness.
Support tinting machine operators and sales staff during rush hours if needed.
5. Record Keeping
Maintain daily delivery logs and fuel usage records.
Submit signed delivery receipts, payment collections, and reports to the store office daily.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Familiarity with local routes and areas.
Basic knowledge of delivery documentation and billing slips.
Safe driving habits and responsible handling of goods.
Punctuality, honesty, and discipline.
Customer-friendly attitude.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Minimum 10th pass.
Experience:
1-3 years in delivery or field support (paint, hardware, FMCG, or construction material preferred).
License:
Valid two-wheeler or light motor vehicle driving license (as applicable).
Language:
Ability to communicate in local language; basic English understanding preferred.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
On-time delivery rate.
Accuracy of items delivered.
Customer satisfaction feedback.
Vehicle upkeep and safety compliance.
Reporting and documentation accuracy.
